Secretary & Treasurer, Gokhale Education Society

Gokhale Education Society, established on 19th February 1918, is an illustrious educational enterprise with a rich legacy spanning over a century. Founded by Prin. T. A. Kulkarni, a disciple of Namdar Gopal Krishna Gokhale, G.E. Society today has grown to encompass more than 140 units across three zones in Mumbai, Nashik, and Thane-Palghar. It caters to an extensive student population of 1.25 lakh through its various educational institutes. These educational institutes provide training in a range of faculties including Humanities, Commerce, Management, Science, Agriculture, Engineering and Para-Medical Training and always strive for the holistic growth of students’ personalities. The visionary leadership of the Late Honourable Sir Dr. M.S. Gosavi, former Secretary and Director General of G. E. Society added unparalleled strength to the advancement of G. E. Society.

G. E. Society’s “Sir Dr. M.S. Gosavi College of Pharmaceutical Education and Research”  is one of the valuable stakeholders of G.E. Society. It is an expression of the vision of Late Honourable Sir Dr. M.S. Gosavi, former Secretary and Director General of G. E. Society who acted as the Founder Director of this college. Established in 2012, the College has significantly contributed to catering to the need for Pharmacy Education in North Maharashtra. The College today offers D.Pharm, B.Pharm, M.Pharm courses at graduate and postgraduate level. The college also has a Ph.D. Research Centre. The college has well-qualified staff that strives to offer quality education to students. The institute consistently organises various student-centric initiatives and makes an effort to expose students to new learning methodologies, technologies, and innovative approaches to pharmaceutical education.

Pharmacy education is of paramount importance for many reasons, as it plays a crucial role in shaping the modern world and addressing some of its most pressing challenges. Pharmacy education promotes innovation and helps in improving the quality of life. G. E.
